Today was perfect for starting our journey … temperature reached the low 80s, there was no wind and just a few cotton puffs for clouds. We got started late, but it really didn't matter.
Sometimes we seem to stop before we really get going. Today was a good example. Because of a late departure, we drove for about an hour and felt the need to stop to eat. We ended up stopping for lunch at Troyer's Dutch Heritage Restaurant at I-71 and OH 97 (Lexington Exit). Impressive, huh? The good news ... the meal and the service were excellent.
Today's 260 mile trip took us north on I-71, east on I-76 to Youngstown, east on I-80 into PA, then south on PA 66 (at exit 64) to New Bethlehem.
We saw lots of orange barrels on I-76 and I-80 Traffic moved well.
We’re camped at Penn Wood Airstream Park. It’s only the 2nd time we’ve stayed in an "all Airstream" park. It’s pretty cool to look around and see old ones, new ones, short ones and long ones … most are really shiny. We’re usually the odd one in a campground, but not here. For $20/night we get water, electric, sewer, cable TV and limited WIFI coverage. We’re nestled in the woods. There’s no cell service.
