We returned to Boston for more touring today. The weather remains perfect.
We retraced our walking tour from yesterday, took a harbor cruise, and then used the trolley to get to a few distant sights.
Things we’ll remember about Boston …
- Historic sites abound and are secluded by new buildings
- There’s a Dunkin Donuts on nearly every corner
- MBTA provides convenient public transportation

Highlights of the day
We had a nice lunch at The Reef next to the New England Aquarium after we returned from the harbor cruise. During the lunch, Carol felt tremors from the Virginia earthquake. Dick felt them too. Our server couldn’t explain them.
We ended the day at Quincy Market where we met Kim Jackson for dinner at Ned Devine’s Irish Pub. It was a treat to get an update on Kim's life as a grad student.
